hello all,
just writing to say that i hope you all had a merry christmas - best wishes for the new year!
everything gets better.

my writing has been minimal recently, apart from some short 'essays', but i am reading more and have lots of paintings to finish.
uni applications are going well; i have interviews in london, and in reading, but must hurry and send work to glasgow and falmouth. hoping to get into glasgow; if not, falmouth or reading.

i just want to paint.

love

you shall see more things from me soon - i am applying for universities: glasgow school of art, reading, brighton, falmouth & east london, which means i have to put together a portfolio, which means i will post it here!

what have you all been up to?!

much love

here's my almost-monthly journal entry! enjoy yourselves...

got back from glastonbury festival at half-past eight on monday morning, having left on thursday morning. i live locally in somerset and so had been to the town before, but never the festival - it blew my mind. i completely advise you all to go next year. there's every kind of music you've ever heard of, or not heard of, a silent disco, drag queens, stand-up comedy, circus and cabaret, slam poetry, paintings & graffiti, workshops for pottery, knitting, sculpture and various other crafts, a healing field with psychics, palmists, homeopaths and lots of the famous glastonbury mud.

bands i got to see:
the specials, neil young, bruce springsteen, crosby, stills & nash, regina spektor, tinariwen, newton faulkner, tindersticks, seth lakeman, 3 daft monkeys, the king blues, the lancashire hotpots & steel pulse.
i danced for a very long time in a field called arcadia to ridiculous dubstep and trance music. and met drunk people.

big thanks to everyone

In addition to ~T1SF's piece, A History of deviantART's Appearance, I've decided to compile a timeline of important events in dA's history, such as the dA Summit, the °jark saga, and the time when !ShadowGamers got banned. Well, maybe the latter isn't so appropriate, but it was the end of an era.
Seeing as I've only been on the site since November last year, and information on events has been scarce and secondhand, I've asked for help from ~T1SF, !conorschild, and lolly, but I'd like to use events that you, the dA 'public', regard as important and having shaped the future for this site.

Tell who you can, and we might be able to pull it off!

There's also my Journal and a Projects Forum thread. Basically says all the same stuff.
